Brachymyrmex patagonicus ants from Argentina, found in La. in 1976.   Rover Ant workers of Brachymyrmex sp. are 2mm and under in size with 9 segmented antennae.  These are tending caerpillars of Echinargus isola  on a Golden-ball Lead-tree at LBJ WC.   Has bigger eyes than M. depilis, the native, which eats hoeydew from below ground hemipterans.  Formicid.
